How to Make Bacon Beans and Weenies in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
Dear readers, this recipe was an instant family favorite at my house, and it is all thanks to a reader like you, Melissa. You see, Melissa commented on my Crock Pot Bacon Baked Beans that she had followed the recipe, but added in sliced hot dogs. She said it was super yummy, so I thought I would give it a try, and now you have this amazing Bacon Crock Pot Beans and Weenies recipe! Thanks Melissa!
So, I did make an adjustment to my original recipe. I used a can of baked beans instead of pork and beans. It was what we had, so I thought I would give it a try. This did not make a huge different in the recipe. If you prefer pork and beans over baked beans, feel free to use them instead.
My family prefers all beef hot dogs, so that is what I used. However, if you cannot find all beef hot dogs or prefer another type of hot dog, feel free to use what your family likes best. Whatever you use, I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do at my house!
