Meal Planning on a Budget
Aunt Lou here.
We’re back again for Budget Meal Plan: Week 8. There are many ways to save money when planning out your menu. This week we will be focusing on casseroles. You can make these yummy casseroles fairly easily and with ingredients that will not cost you an arm and a leg. Even better, these casseroles are quite hearty, so you are sure to have a full belly at the end of your meal. Part of what makes these casseroles so hearty and filling is that they have some veggies or pasta as a part of them. So you really do not have to make another dish to go along with them unless you just really want to have one. For just that case, I have added an additional, optional side for your leftover days.
While we are making three casseroles this week, there is no need to worry about getting bored with the flavors. We have a meatball casserole, chicken casserole and ham casserole. They are all delicious and have all been proven to be crowd pleasers in my house. As an added bonus, they are super simple recipes to make as well. I hope you and your loved ones enjoy them just like we do!
