How to Make Cheesy Rotini in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
While we love a good recipe that can feed a ton of people and give you leftovers, sometimes you need fewer servings. So, I thought I would take one of our reader favorite recipes (that is also a fav in my house) and cut it in half. I also wanted to try out using the double broiler method with this recipe. This makes it so you do not have to worry at all about cheese sticking to the side of your insert!
When making this Cheesy Crock Pot Rotini, you can cut costs by what products you use. I find the Kroger brand Nice ‘n Cheesy (not sponsored) to be a great substitute for Velveeta, and it is significantly cheaper. I also use generic pasta, butter, half and half and bread crumbs. The only thing I struggle to find a generic of is the cheddar cheese soup, so I stock up when they go on sale and keep them in the pantry.
(If you need to feed a crowd, you can check out the original recipe with double the servings here.)
