How to Make BBQ Ranch Chicken Buns in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
Cris and I were going through our cookbooks the other day picking out recipes. In the past we have both picked the same recipe to cook, and once that was discovered, big sister always won the battle of who got to post it. So, being a good little sister, I have adapted and learned to run my menu for the week past her.
This particular day I was going through and saw this recipe in Gooseberry Patch’s Slow-Cooker Christmas Favorites. Cris had made something like this for us one time when we were up, so I asked her if it was the same recipe and if she had posted it before. She didn’t give me an answer; she just laughed. I thought that was strange, but asked her again…phrasing it differently to see if I could get an answer. Again, she laughed. By the third time I asked her, I was REALLY confused when she just laughed yet again.
I thought big sister had finally lost her marbles.
When I asked her what in the world she was giggling about, she replied, “Oh?! You are serious?”
I told her I was and that I just needed to know if these Crock Pot BBQ Ranch Chicken Buns were the ones she made or not. She asked me to look at who submitted the recipe…and this is what I read:
Cris Goode
Mooresville, IN
Oops 🙂
But she did let me go ahead and make these up…and I was really grateful because we LOVE this recipe. We loved it when she made it. Loved it when we made it, and we love that this recipe is perfect for making a Freezer Pack, so I will be able to throw it on once Miss Iyla gets here and all the prep work is already done! (Psst…you can find the Freezer Pack instructions here.)
