How to Make Poor Man’s Pork Steak with Gravy in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
Two of the things I love when I am in the kitchen are an easy recipe and a recipe that does not cost and arm and a leg to make! One of my all time favorite recipes is Slow Cooker Steak with Gravy. This Crock Pot Poor Man’s Pork Steak with Gravy gives you the same amazing flavors from the original recipe, but with a cheaper cut of meat. Thanks to the wonderful magic that is a slow cooker, you can take a cheaper cut of meat and turn it into a delicious, tender cut of meat when cooking it low and slow! Seriously, no knife is needed for these pork steaks. A fork glides right through them. They are so tender!
The gravy from this recipe is divine. The savory taste of the gravy adds so much to this recipe. You can serve the meat with the gravy over top or with everything over noodles or with everything over mashed potatoes. The possibilities are as great as your imagination! (Psst…this gravy is really good over mashed potatoes by themselves too!)
