How to Make Salisbury Steak for Two in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
One of the most asked questions we get is, “Can you make this with only two servings?” when we post a new recipe. So, next in the line of our recipes for two is this Crock Pot Salisbury Steak for Two. The salisbury steaks are delicious and the gravy is great not only over the steaks but also over some yummy mashed potatoes. (If you need more servings, check out our original recipe here.)
When I made this recipe, I tried it in both a 2.5 quart slow cooker and a 4 quart slow cooker. Since both of these slow cookers were less than half full (and a far cry from two thirds full), this recipe cooked up really quickly. The original recipe needs a cooking time of two to three hours. With making this recipe for two, I checked my salisbury steaks around one hour and twenty minutes into cooking. My meat thermometer showed the internal temperature around 180-190 degrees Fahrenheit in both the smaller and larger slow cookers. So, even with the variation in cooking times between different slow cookers, these steaks should be done between one to two hours into cooking.

Notes
- I used Golden Mushroom Soup in this recipe. You can use regular Cream of Mushroom Soup if you like. The Golden Mushroom Soup just has an added beefy flavor. If you don’t like to use soups, this probably isn’t the recipe for ya 😉 You might like our Homestyle Pork Chops instead (or you could use the gravy part of that recipe in this recipe…)
