How to Make Saucy Potatoes in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
Let me tell you the secret to making the prep of these Crock Pot Saucy Potatoes a snap! It is a handy, dandy mandoline. This is the one I have, and I absolutely love it. (In my experience, any time you use a a good mandoline, you will also want a pair of cut resistant gloves.) With this one tool, I was able to slice up my potatoes and onion in very little time. It also makes it so the slices are all uniform, which is great for cooking. When all the slices are the same thickness, you do not end up with some potatoes that are falling apart while others are not cooked yet.
This delicious side dish pairs great with many different dishes. It would go great with some grilled chicken or pork chops. I think this side dish would also be great with a wonderful steak or roast. I would love to know what your favorite dish to pair these yummy potatoes with is in the comments below!
