We are big fans of the Instant Pot and other electric pressure cookers, namely- Crock Pot’s Multi-Use Express and Farberware’s Digital Pressure Cooker, and have been cooking with them here on RTC for quite some time. We are often asked what is an Instant Pot? “Instant Pot” is a brand of electric pressure cooker, but many use the term broadly to refer to all electric pressure cookers. While the buttons on different electric pressure cookers can be slightly different, once you get to know your machine (regardless of brand) you can use most any instant pot or electric pressure cooker recipes online in your unit.
Instant Pot vs Crock Pot
So does having an electric pressure cooker mean you should get rid of your slow cooker? Goodness, no! An electric pressure cooker is a great appliance to have on hand to compliment your slow cooker, but never replace ;). As many of you know, here on RTC we aren’t fans of the slow cooker feature on electric pressure cookers. So we use slow cookers to cook slow and electric pressure cookers to cook fast.
We have spent months converting many of our favorite crock pot recipes to instant pot recipes to allow for flexibility in our kitchen and yours. While you can find our whole library of electric pressure cooker recipes here, today I wanted to do something a little bit different.

While instant pots offer tons of flexibility to the kitchen they can be a little overwhelming. So today, I wanted to share some of my favorite Easy Instant Pot Recipes from my kitchen AND my blogging friends to help you find simple ways to get food on the table– which is the whole point after all, isn’t it ;).
