How to Make Mississippi Chicken in an Instant Pot
Cris here.
My family is in LOVE with the “Mississippi-style” recipes. We love Mississippi Beef Roast (in the slow cooker AND in the Instant Pot), Mississippi Pork Roast, Mississippi Pork Chops AND Mississippi Chicken Thighs or Mississippi Whole Chicken. Whew… SO, it is only natural that my family (and readers) have been asking to convert our chicken recipe into a Mississippi Chicken Electric Pressure Cooker or Instant Pot version.
Psst… Don’t have an Instant Pot? Don’t worry, here is our Crock Pot Mississippi Chicken.

Hi Cris,
Does the recipe call for frozen or thawed chicken thighs?
What would you recommend for frozen chicken breast? I would expect a whole stick of butter and 25 minutes of pressure time?
You are awesome!
Thank you so much for all the IP recipes, especially this one. You are my go to source for recipes. God bless!
Aw thanks Shelly! So glad you enjoy the site.
