How to Make Bean with Bacon Soup in a Slow Cooker
Aunt Lou here.
When I was a little kid, I remember having bean with bacon soup at Gramma’s house. I didn’t have it for years and actually forgot about it until I was an adult and ran across a can of it in the store one day. When I was talking with Michael about new recipe ideas last week, I thought of that soup again. So, now you have this amazing Slow Cooker Bean with Bacon Soup. You’re gonna love it!
So, this recipe was a collaboration between Michael and I. We both had ideas and put them together. When Michael took the first bite, he looked at me and said, “We did it! This is amazing!” I completely agree! My only complaint is that I didn’t double it. I’m only going to get two bowls of this, and I want more! lol
I had so many ideas on how I want to eat this. I always had grilled cheese with my soup when I was at Gramma’s. This soup also seemed to begging for some yummy cornbread to be served up with. It is also great with some saltines crumbled up in it. Let me know below your favorite way to serve this up!

Do the beans need to be pre soaked overnight?
You will not need to pre-soak the beans since we are using canned instead of dry beans. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do!
