How to Make Bubble Up Breakfast Casserole in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

A while back, Cris made a delicious Bubble Up Crock Pot Pizza Bake, and I made a Crock Pot Breakfast Pizza. My family loves both of these recipes, so when Cris made the suggestion that I make a crossover between these two recipes using the biscuits from the bubble up recipe to make a breakfast casserole, I was all for it! My family love this Bubble Up Crock Pot Breakfast Casserole!

The biscuits bake up beautifully to give you a flaky biscuit base topped with your egg, cheese, sausage and hash browns. On my word! It is SO savory and tasty!

This recipe would be great for a brunch or breakfast for dinner. We love having breakfast for dinner around my house. The change up just make dinner seem fun, and this recipe also makes it quite delicious!

If you would like to have this for breakfast, it can be thrown together in 10 minutes or less. So you could easily get up, put it together, turn it on and be back in bed in under 15 minutes, if you so desired! If not, the cooking time is only 1.5 to 2 hours, so you could have a late breakfast easily as well!

This sounds amazing, and I am so ready to try! Is there a reason why you opted for frozen spinach and not fresh?

It was delicious and will definitely make this again. We are going to try your Italian Chicken crockpot meal next!

The recipe says to keep the hash browns frozen. Do I need to thaw them before spreading them out or just put them in the crock pot frozen?

No need to thaw them. You will just spread them out frozen. Enjoy!

Hello from Lexington, North Carolina!โค Hey Aunt Lou, this looks delicious!!๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹ I love bacon, if I wanted to add it would I just cook it and crumble over before serving?

      Hi Kim!

I haven’t tried it with bacon, but that is what I would do if I did. It sounds like a yummy addition! If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
