Let me take one thing off your plate this week with Budget Meal Plan: Week 44. I have done all the work of planning so you do not have to do it!
Meal Planning on a Budget
Aunt Lou here.
One of the best ways to get the biggest bang for you buck at the grocery store is to use a pork loin for multiple recipes. That is exactly what we are going to do for Budget Meal Plan: Week 44. You can use a pork loin not only for pork loin recipe but also for pork chops. We are also going to use one pack of bacon for two different recipes. That way you can enjoy the flavor of bacon in two very different recipes while only buying one package. Win, win!
It is really simple to make chops out of a pork loin. Before you cook it, you simply use a sharp knife to cut off slices of the pork loin into as many chops as you need. The remaining pork loin can be used in as a pork loin or cut into more chops for later use. And since pork loin is generally one of the cheaper per pound meats available, it makes your grocery dollar go further. You don’t have to worry about feeling like you are eating the same thing with these two pork recipes. They are quite different and quite delicious!
