How to Make Strawberry Pop Tart Dump Cake in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
So the other day Cris sent me a Tiktok video from @aquickspoonful’s account. It showed this very interesting recipe that inspired this Crock Pot Strawberry Pop Tart Dump Cake, and oh man this is good! I couldn’t be happier with the results!
This recipe is super rich. So, when you see that this recipe has 12-16 servings, it is because a little goes a long way. However, a small portion will definitely not leave you unfulfilled. It is just over the top good!
I recommend starting with your first stick of butter, cutting it into thin pats and placing them on top of your cake mix. Then you can judge from there how many more pats you will need. The original recipe called for a stick and a half of butter. However, I didn’t need that. I only needed a stick and one fourth (2 tablespoons) for mine. You can use a little more or less than I did to make sure you thin pats are only one layer across the top.
(Psst…we also have a peach version! Check out this Crock Pot Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tart Peach Dump Cake. So yummy!)

Looks like cherry frosted pop tarts were used as they are the only ones all red on top. But i think that would be wayyyyy better than the strawberry anyhow lol so works out i suppose!?
The red you are seeing on top is where the butter melted into the strawberry cake mix. The strawberry pop tarts are on the bottom. We do have a recipe that uses cherry pop tarts. You can find it here: http://www.recipesthatcrock.com/crock-pot-cherry-pop-tart-chocolate-dump-cake/. Enjoy!
