How to Make Taco Dog Casserole in a Slow Cooker
Aunt Lou here.
This yummy Crock Pot Taco Dog Casserole is a mash up of our yummy Bubble Up Crock Pot Chili Dog Casserole and Crock Pot Cheesy Taco Dogs recipes. I use the ingredients from the taco dogs, added in the biscuits from the casserole and used the cooking technique from the casserole. The result is a delicious meal the entire family can enjoy!
This is a great recipe to have a fun dinner at home with your loved ones young and old. It would also be a wonderful addition to any potluck, party or backyard barbecue. Everyone will be asking for the recipe for sure!
If you want to make this recipe even faster to put together, check out our Make Ahead Ground Beef Recipe. This recipe is a great way to get more bang for your cooking time buck. We love using this recipe so we can make many of our ground beef recipes in record time!
Another great time-saving tip is to take your biscuits and stack them about three or four high when you go to cut them into quarters. Use a sharp knife and you can easily cut down through all three or four biscuits at once. Then all you have to do is separate the quarters and throw them on top. Easy peasey!
I used my 4-quart crock pot for this recipe. It is the perfect size for this recipe. If you need to double up this recipe, you could use a 6-quart crock pot.
