Another home run! This was delicious! I left out the garlic and added a can of (undrained) chili beans. Perfect!

I have made this once before and it was good. Tonight I am going to try it again and I am going to add nacho cheese and taco sauce and just add some things to it and see how it goes. Thank you for such an easy dinner idea.

  3. 3 stars
It was ok – I will use it as a base and add other things to it. It was a little dry so I might add a can of corn with the liquid next time and I might add a little taco sauce for more flavor.

What I know of tater tot casserole it has a vegetable in it. So I added the green beans but otherwise this looks like an amazing recipe that I am cooking right now super simple! Thank you

I’m so glad you found a way to make it your own. I hope you really enjoyed it!

  5. Question: Do the tots get crunchy or do they stay squishy? My family likes crunchy fries and tots.

    1. 5 stars
They are not crunchy. However, you can crisp them up a bit if you use a slow cooker with an oven safe insert and put them under the broiler. If you do the broiler step, watch them very closely since the broiler can take a recipe from perfection to burnt in a matter of seconds. Hope that helps!

Made this last night was delicious but I think next time. I’ll only use half pack of taco seasoning.

      Hi Terri!

I have not tried freezing this before cooking it. It may work, but I can’t say for sure. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
