How to Make Easy Seasoned Chicken Thighs in an Oven
Aunt Lou here.
If you love tender and juicy chicken with delicious flavor, then you are definitely going to love this Easy Seasoned Chicken Thighs. I took one of our favorite crock pot recipes, Crock Pot Seasoned Chicken, and converted it to an oven recipe. This way no matter what kind of time frame you need for cooking, you can make this delicious chicken dish!
The first time you make this, you will want to watch it closely to adjust the cooking time to your specific oven. Even though we will all be setting our ovens to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, that does not mean that all our ovens are going to cook the same. It is just how it goes with appliances. However, after you know what the timing is for your oven, you can make note of it for future use. Easy peasy.
What You Will Need for Easy Seasoned Chicken Thighs
Ingredients Needed
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thigh, with fat trimmed (or boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into thigh size pieces)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Equipment Needed
- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
- Butter knife
- Small Microwave safe bowl, measuring cup or coffee cup (I use a coffee cup to melt butter often. Am I the only one?)
- Small stirring spatula
- 2.5 quart casserole dish
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 5 minutes (Plus however much more time it takes for your oven to preheat to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.)
- Cooking Time: 40 to 45 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit (It is done when your meat thermometer reads at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit when inserted into the middle of your pieces of chicken.)
