How to Make Homemade Yeast Rolls in an Oven
Aunt Lou here.
When I say I have a treat for you, I mean it! These Homemade Yeast Rolls are a requirement for any holiday gathering in my family. From before the time I was born, this was the recipe that was used at every Benefiel holiday meal. I can remember being so incredibly excited when Momma would start making these and watching her through every step. I always thought the recipe looked like a treasure map. Can you see why?
When I was in my late mid-twenties, I asked her if she would teach me how to make them. In case you don’t know, I was terrified of trying to bake or cook until my thirties. So, me asking to learn how to make these just shows how much I loved them! Eventually, I took over the yeast roll maker role in my family, (Momma makes SO much for our big family dinners. It is the least I could do!) and have proudly made these rolls for years now. My kids get just as excited when they me start making them as I did as a kid. It makes my heart happy to carry on the tradition! I hope you and your loved ones enjoy these as much as we do!
