How to Make Smothered Cheesy Chicken in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
If you are looking for some comfort food to serve up, check out this Smothered Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken. I can’t take credit for thinking up the original recipe for this deliciousness. Mandy from South Your Mouth came up with the oven version of the recipe, put it in her wonderful cookbook, and Cris tried out the original oven recipe. You can find the oven version here.
As with most times that I adapt a recipe from an oven or stove top recipe into a crock pot recipe, I made some changes, just like we encourage you to adapt the recipes we post to fit your preferences. I took out a few steps to make it even easier, changed some ingredient amounts and substituted garlic salt for salt. The result is a cheesy dish that is full of flavor and already has one side dish included in it!
