Meal Planning on a Budget
Aunt Lou here.
When I was trying to think up an idea for this week’s Budget Meal Plan: Week 10, I went through all the other tips I have used. (You can find all the Budget Meal Plans here.) I wanted to see if there was anything else that I do to save money that might help you out. That’s when it hit me. Use what you have!
What do I mean by “use what you have”? I am rounding up some recipes that have basic kitchen pantry and/or fridge/freezer staples in them. While you might not have all of the ingredients already in your kitchen (I LOVE when that happens though, don’t you?!), you might have quite a few of them just sitting on your shelves. It will save you from spending money on those ingredients right now, and it will also make sure you actually use the ingredients instead of forgetting about them and eventually throwing them out when they have expired.
So, check out these recipes and be sure to check out your pantry, cabinets, shelves, fridge or freezer (wherever you keep your food) before you head to the store. I hope you love these recipes as much as we do!
