How to Make 4 Ingredient Pork Chops in an Oven

Aunt Lou here.

Earlier this year, I made these amazing 4 Ingredient Crock Pot Pork Chops. They were a huge hit. However, I know there are times when making it in the oven is a better fit for a crazy evening. So, I thought I would give the crock pot recipe a try in the oven. The results were just as amazing! Side note: I like to pair these pork chops with some mashed potatoes because the gravy is delicious over mashed potatoes.

Most of the time when I post pork chop recipes, I get asked the thickness of my pork chops or how many were in my pack. I’m not the greatest at being able to tell the measurement of something without measuring it. So, I generally don’t say measurements. However, I can tell you I used a pack of 2 pounds of boneless center cut chops that had 10 pork chops in it.

What You Will Need for 4 Ingredient Pork Chops

Ingredients Needed

  • 2 lbs boneless pork chops (my pack had 10 chops)
  • 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 10.75 oz can golden mushroom soup
  • 10.75 oz can French onion soup

Equipment Needed

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes to put together, plus however long it takes your oven to preheat to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Cooking Time: 40 to 45 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit (Use a meat thermometer to make sure your chops reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit.)

General Notes

  • Watching your pork chops closely toward the end of cooking and using a meat thermometer to know when your pork chops reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit will help you to have the most tender chops. Overcooking them will result in them being tough instead of tender.

  1. Can you substitute the cream of mushroom with a different soup?

      Hi Jan-
You could use cream of celery. Enjoy!

  2. Mary White says:

Can you do this recipe with only 4 chops?

    1. 5 stars
I haven’t tried this recipe with only 4 pork chops, but I think it could work. You will have plenty of gravy, which is always a plus in my book! ๐Ÿ˜‰ The cooking time may change. I can’t say for sure without making it first, so make sure you check it a little early so you do not overcook your pork chops. If you give it a try, I would love to hear how it goes!

  5. I also been making something very similar. I slice about 4 potatoes. Lay them down on 9 X 13 cake pan. Brown 6 pork chops. Put pork chops on top of the potatoes. Mix a can of cream of mushroom, 1/2;cup of milk and an envelope of french onion mix in to the frying pan that you browns the chops in.heat and stir. Pour on top of chops and potatoes. Cover with foil. Bake at 375ยฐ for 45 minutes. Uncover. Bake about 15 more minutes.
