We have some great meals for Budget Meal Plan: Week 5 that will not only feed you this week but also have some leftover to freeze for future use!
Meal Planning on a Budget
Aunt Lou here.
What makes this meal plan budget friendly is that it includes meals that are freezer friendly. Using recipes that are freezer friendly not only makes your grocery dollars go further because you can freeze leftovers, but also frees up your time at a later date when all you have to do is warm up your meal. When I gave birth to my children, freezer meals I had made ahead of time were a life saver. Now that they are a little older, and we seem to always be on the go, they save me when I have forgotten to put something on for dinner. (Yes, I create recipes for a living and still forget to put something on for dinner. I tell myself that happens to everyone from time to time, and I am not the only one. ๐ )
This cooking in bulk and freezing for later can also save you money when you are buying your meat. You can usually get a better price on meat if you buy it in larger packages. So, you save a little per pound when you buy it, and your future meals from the freezer are already paid for ahead of time! That’s a double win in my book for sure!
Budget Meal Plan: Week 5

Thursday: Cheesy Chicken Penne leftovers with with Air Fryer Roasted Green Beans.
