Meal Planning On A Budget

Aunt Lou here.

Welcome back for Budget Meal Plan: Week 7! This week we will be utilizing freezer foods for our meal plan menu. In general, frozen vegetables are cheaper than fresh vegetables. There is also the added bonus of not having to worry about the frozen vegetables going bad in your refrigerator or on your counter. Frozen vegetables can also beef up a recipe to make it heartier to fill you up without spending a ton of money. Frozen tater tots are a favorite around here for casseroles. The tots make the casserole super filling which, in turn, makes the casserole last longer. Another great freezer food is meatballs. You don’t have to worry about the meat going bad in your refrigerator, and they are already seasoned and formed. This makes meal prep a snap!
