How to Make Blueberry Pop Tart Lemon Dump Cake

I am a sucker for anything with the lemon and blueberry combination. So, when I was thinking up ideas for this Pop Tart Dump Cake series, I knew I wanted to try making a Crock Pot Blueberry Pop Tart Lemon Dump Cake. Every one of my high expectations for this recipe were met or exceeded. It is absolutely delicious!
As with all the dump cake recipes I have made with the years, this recipe was super simple to throw together and tastes incredible! The combination of easy to make and super yummy makes it perfect for a treat to make for you and yours to enjoy at home or to take to a potluck to share with others.
What You Will Need
Ingredients Needed
- 6 blueberry pop tarts
- 42 oz blueberry pie filling (2 -21 oz cans)
- 1 lemon cake mix, not prepared
- 1/2 cup butter, cut into pats (You may use a little more or a little less depending on how your pats come out. You want enough thin pats to cover your entire dump cake.)
Equipment Needed
- Can opener
- Scissors (Optional: These are only used if you want an easier way to open your cake mix bag.)
- Butter knife
- Cutting board
- Stirring spatula
- Casserole Crock Pot or 6 quart Crock Pot
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cooking Time: 2 hours on high, turning crock pot insert halfway through cooking if your crock pot does not cook evenly

Crock Pot Blueberry Pop Tart Lemon Dump Cake
Ingredients
- 6 Blueberry Pop Tarts
- 42 oz can blueberry pie filling (2 – 21 oz cans)
- 1 lemon cake mix unprepared
- 1/2 cup Butter cut into thin pats (You may use a little more or a little less depending on how your pats come out. You want enough thin pats to cover your entire dump cake.)
Instructions
- Arrange your pop tarts in the bottom of a casserole crock pot or 6 quart slow cooker.
- Evenly spread pie filling on top of pop tarts.
- Sprinkle your cake mix across the top of everything evenly.
- Place thin butter pats across the top of your cake mix.
- Cover and cook on high for 2 hours, turning your insert halfway through cooking if your crock pot does not cook evenly.
