How to Make Cookies n Creme Pop Tart Dump Cake in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

My 6 year old and 9 year old have been going nuts over Cookies n Creme Pop Tarts lately. So, I thought it was only fitting to make up one of my Crock Pot Pop Tart Dump Cakes using them. My chocolate loving kiddos were over the moon about this one. There were exclaims of, “Mom! This is amazing!” and “This is SOOOOO good!” I hope you enjoy this recipe with as much excitement as my children.

What You Will Need

Ingredients Needed

  • 6 cookies ‘n creme pop tarts
  • 14 oz marshmallow creme (2 -7 oz jars)
  • 1 chocolate cake mix, not prepared (You can use either a Devil’s Food cake mix or German Chocolate cake mix, whichever you like best.)
  • 6 Oreo cookies, crumbled (A generic brand of these cookies will work just fine too.)
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pats (You may use a little more or a little less depending on how your pats come out. You want enough thin pats to cover your entire dump cake.)

Equipment Needed

  • Scissors (Optional: These are only used if you want an easier way to open your cake mix bag.)
  • Butter knife
  • Cutting board
  • Stirring spatula or spoon
  • Casserole Crock Pot or 6 quart Crock Pot

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 2 hours on high, turning crock pot insert halfway through cooking if your crock pot does not cook evenly
