When the good folks at Reames® asked me if I would be interested in partnering with them again to create another recipe using their Frozen Egg Noodles, I was super excited. (Psst… scroll to the very bottom of this post to enter to a $50 Visa Card Giveaway from our friends at Reames!)
How to Make Mississippi Chicken Noodles in a Slow Cooker
I have always loved the homemade-like hearty texture of their egg noodles and we use them in sooo many of our comfort food dishes. Holiday staples around here like our Slow Cooker Chicken and Noodles (and the Electric Pressure Cooker Version) and our Slow Cooker Beef and Noodles (and the Electric Pressure Cooker Version) are so simple to throw together when all you need to do is grab a bag of their frozen noodles out of the freezer. (Psst… if you want to check out a great non-crock pot recipe for Chicken Noodle Soup using their noodles, check it out here.)
The best part is that even though Reames is doing the work for ya, you still get that same great homemade taste. The Reames folks say that is because the freezing process (as opposed to the dry noodles you find on the shelf) allow them to use the same ingredients you do at home: Flour, Eggs and Water. So instead of thin rubber band-like noodles, you get those fork tender thick noodles that we all love! And, I LOVE that they hold up great when we add them to our slow cooker recipes.
Now… How about that recipe for Crock Pot Mississippi Chicken Noodles that I promised you.
You guys… we have done gone and married two amazing recipes to make an incredible dish. My whole family (and the neighbors we shared it with) are RAVING about this recipe. You know how crazy they are about all our “Mississippi” dishes… well this recipe takes those flavors to a WHOLE new level of comfort food.

My mom didn’t cook often but when she did, my most favorite meal was stuffed green peppers <3 Unfortunately, I married a man that refuses to eat peppers *gasp* So when my mother decides to make them at her house, she invites me and the husband eats whatever left overs we have in the fridge at home haha

Sadly, my mother wasn’t a great cook. Her heart just wasn’t in it. But, she did make absolutely wonderful sloppy joes. I never got her recipe and have been trying to replicate it for the last 46 yrs of marriage…but to no avail!

My mom’s pot roast reminds me of home. She always made a pot roast about once a week and would put in huge chucks of veggies (and that was the only way I would eat them). I loved in and the smell of it just makes me melt.

This recipe sounds great. I’ll look for Rheames noodles on my next grocery shop. If my store carries them, I’ll give this recipe a go. Thanks.

Roast pork, mashed potatoes, home made apple sauce, sauerkraut, and green beans. For our birthday dinners we could pick whatever we wanted. I never changed it up. Sixty plus years later, this is still my birthday dinner. Oh…and lemon merangue pie instead of birthday cake.

The hamburger veggie soup reminds me of home, as does the soup with lots of peppers.
Keep up the great work, guys!

After watching you use Casserole crock and the air fryer; I bought both. I also was impressed with the turkey breast, so I bought the thermometer to use on turkey.
