When the good folks atย Reamesยฎย asked me if I would be interested in partnering with them again to create another recipe using their Frozen Egg Noodles, I was super excited. (Note: This post was originally sponsored by them.)

How to Make Mississippi Chicken Noodles in a Slow Cooker

I have always loved the homemade-like hearty texture of their egg noodles and we use them in sooo many of our comfort food dishes. Holiday staples around here like our Slow Cooker Chicken and Noodles (and the Electric Pressure Cooker Version) and our Slow Cooker Beef and Noodles (and the Electric Pressure Cooker Version) are so simple to throw together when all you need to do is grab a bag of their frozen noodles out of the freezer. (Psst… if you want to check out a great non-crock pot recipe for Chicken Noodle Soup using their noodles, check it out here.)
The best part is that even though Reames is doing the work for ya, you still get that same great homemade taste. The Reames folks say that is because the freezing process (as opposed to the dry noodles you find on the shelf) allow them to use the same ingredients you do at home: Flour, Eggs and Water. So instead of thin rubber band-like noodles, you get those fork tender thick noodles that we all love! And, I LOVE that they hold up great when we add them to our slow cooker recipes.

Now… How about that recipe for Crock Pot Mississippi Chicken Noodles that I promised you.
You guys… we have done gone and married two amazing recipes to make an incredible dish. My whole family (and the neighbors we shared it with) are RAVING about this recipe. You know how crazy they are about all our “Mississippi” dishes… well this recipe takes those flavors to a WHOLE new level of comfort food.

The recipe that reminds me of home is my grandmother’s yummy coleslaw recipe. She made it for every holiday and occasion and it tastes like no other I have ever eaten. I am grateful that I have her recipe, so I can make it whenever I have a taste for it. It is a family favorite!
My favorite comfort food was my Mom’s Chicken and Dumplings. She tried to teach me how to make them, but they just don’t taste the same.
I love my crockpot!! However, what makes it better is having all of your awesome recipes to choose from! The all day smells of what is cooking is so great. Sometimes I will come home and smell what seems to be my grandmothers cooking of which are many beautiful memories! Thank you for all of the recipes and all of the love you both bring to our home!!
This is an excellent collection of recipes, and I love the inspiration I get here.
Guy’s your Mississippi anything is great. Have used this method with chicken, beef and pork, killer all. What’s with the 6 Pepperoncinis, I use a lot more, love them. This formula with the chicken and noodles sounds amazing, can’t wait to make it. It is something that our mom would have made for us. Homey comfort food. Thanks for all you good work.
This looks delicious! Thank you
My favourite recipe that reminds me of home is Pea and Ham Soup. I love cooking it on the slow cooker/ crockpot and smelling the yummy aromas while it cooks.
Ribs! I always used to ask for them on my birthday
My Favorite Dish growing up was my Grandmothers’ Chicken & Dumplings, sometimes when she was short on time she used noodles instead of making dumplings. I can still smell the way they smelled when she was cooking this the aroma was wonderful and filled her house with pure pleasure and a since of home cooked meals that warmed our hearts.
My mom’s beef stew. She would be in the kitchen all day, adding ingredients at different times.
Since I’ve started making the Mississippi recipes, those are NOW the recipes that remind me of home!
Nothing like old fashioned Chicken Noodle Soup and saltine crackers
I’ve been a big fan of mom’s beef and noodles – over mashed taters are the best ever!!
What a fabulous dish! Sounds mouth-melting for sure.
The recipe that seems like home is when my grandpa made roast and rivels. Every Sunday after church he would have dinner ready. Makes me miss him that much more. Thank you for the memory.
Chicken & Noodles made with Reames Noodles in the slow cooker
My mom cooked everyday and worked full time. I loved her scalloped Potatoes and ham. She made great everything. My favorite ones were her casseroles and leftover wonders. Her after Thanksgiving casserole tasted better to me than the separated turkey Dinner the day before. I love your recipes that crock recipes. So easy and delicious.
My grandma’s, my mom’s, and my Turkey Noodle Soup!
carrot raisin salad
I enjoy receiving your recipes. They all look good!
This Mississippi Chicken looks and sounds so yummy! And easy to make! Looks like a sure-fire winner!! I haven’t seen Reames noodles in the store before. I’m most definitely going to see if I can hunt them down. They sound wonderful and I can’t wait to try them with this recipe!
home made chicken and noodles reminds me of home. it’s funny for years i use to think my mom made the noodles herself till i grew up and found out one time it was reames she used all along then i could make them too! i could not imagine taking the time to make the noodles let them dry then cook them. I love the fact i get to skip that step and still get wonderful tasting noodles! we usually cook in chicken broth( chicken breasts bone in then add broth as well) then at the end when the noodles are done add about a half a can of cream of chicken soup and let it heat through. omg talking about comfort food!
Love watching because you all are so down to earth. You cook together because you love one another deeply. My husband and I cook together and itโs so meaningful and fun.
I love the crock pot Italian pot roast.
Chicken and dressing made using my Grandma Wyatt’s recipe. She used to put hard boiled eggs in it which I’ve never seen anywhere else.
Beef pot roast, made in a crock pot, of course. The crock pot was the secret to making it tender. We made it all the time when I was growing up, it would be ready to serve when everyone got home from work or school. The house would smell so good with that pot roast waiting for us…
